Qualifying SCE customers may receive up to $4,200 toward a panel upgrade and dedicated EV outlet, or up to $1,000 toward a qualifying outlet-only installation.
Check My EligibilityWhich project fits your home?
Panel upgrade and EV outlet
This option is for an existing main panel below 200 amps that cannot support Level 2 charging. The project must include an upgrade to at least 200 amps and a new dedicated 240-volt outlet.
EV outlet only
This option is for an existing panel rated at least 200 amps that can support Level 2 charging. SCE requires a dedicated outlet within 25 feet of an off-street parking space for either option.
Who can apply?
You need residential SCE service and must qualify through income, an eligible assistance program, or a designated disadvantaged community. Renters need the property owner’s approval. Required permits and inspection records apply.
How Gridline helps
We evaluate the existing service and charger location, explain the installation options, and help you identify the permits, inspection records, and contractor paperwork needed for the application. SCE determines eligibility and rebate amounts.
SCE accepts applications during planning or installation and up to six months after completion. For the panel-and-outlet option, SCE requires approved participants to install a Level 2 charger within 180 days of receiving the rebate.
Request a preliminary eligibility review
Tell us your ZIP code, utility, and panel size so we can discuss the next step. Keep utility account numbers and income documents for SCE’s application.
