An electrician should review the service rating, panel condition, breaker space, conductor capacity, and existing loads. This determines whether a new continuous charging load can be added safely.
Consider alternatives when capacity is limited
Depending on the equipment and project, options may include a lower charging setting or listed load-management equipment. A panel upgrade remains appropriate when existing equipment is obsolete, damaged, undersized, or unable to support planned loads.
